Terms of Service

Effective date: March 18, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Connect for Fastmail Chrome extension and related services operated by Altus Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using Connect for Fastmail, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Connect for Fastmail is a Chrome browser extension that provides inline previews of Office document attachments within the Fastmail web email client. The service includes document rendering through our Docs API.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use this service. By using Connect for Fastmail, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to base features. No payment information is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial, you must subscribe to continue using the service.

5. Subscription & Pricing

Basic Plan

• $3 per user per month, or $30 per user per year (billed annually).
• Includes inline Office document previews (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .rtf) within Fastmail.

Advanced Plan

• $5 per user per month, or $50 per user per year (billed annually).
• Includes everything in the Basic plan plus split view, dual document previews, and cloud saving to Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, and Dropbox.

AI Pro Plan

• $20 per user per month, or $200 per user per year (billed annually).
• Includes everything in the Advanced plan plus cloud-powered AI email sorting, auto-tagging, and AI-powered composition features.

Salesforce Connect

Salesforce CRM integration and enterprise features will be offered as a separate add-on. Pricing will be announced separately.

Price Changes

We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days' notice before your next billing cycle. Your continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

6. Payment & Billing

• Subscriptions are billed annually in advance.
• Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your payment card details.
• Failed payments may result in service suspension until resolved.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds are available within the first 14 days of a paid subscription. After 14 days, no refunds are issued for the remainder of the billing period.
• Free trial cancellations incur no charges.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to bypass subscription or licensing restrictions
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its underlying infrastructure
• Share your account credentials with others

9. Intellectual Property

Connect for Fastmail, its code, design, and branding are the property of Altus Labs LLC. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension for its intended purpose.

10. Third-Party Services

Connect for Fastmail integrates with Fastmail (for email rendering) and our Monolith Docs API (for document processing). We are not affiliated with Fastmail Pty Ltd. Your use of Fastmail is governed by Fastmail's own terms.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Document rendering is best-effort and may not perfectly reproduce all formatting.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Altus Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the extension ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations and dispute resolution) will survive.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the extension at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
